Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Russell Westbrook finished with 32 points and his layup in the final seconds of overtime lifted the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 105-103 win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. Westbrook also tallied eight assists and eight rebounds, while Kevin Durant paced the Thunder with 34 points. Oklahoma City, which has won four straight, improved to 21-10 when both Durant and Westbrook go for 30-plus points in a game. Nene had a season-high 24 points in the loss and John Wall deposited 18 points with 13 assists. Paul Pierce and Bradley Beal each scored 14 points. Nene broke a tie late in the overtime period with a free throw that put the Wizards up 101-100. However, Durant converted a wing 3-pointer with 35 seconds left that moved the Thunder in front. Andre Roberson was whistled for goaltending on Washingtons next touch as Nene was fed inside for a layup that Roberson sent back toward halfcourt as the ball was on its way down. Westbrook picked up an inbound pass from Anthony Morrow with 3.6 seconds left, bolted through the defense and made his winning layup with under a second remaining. Walls desperation heave at the buzzer was off the mark and the Thunder held on. Durant knocked down a 3-pointer early in the fourth to end a 12-4 run, which helped Oklahoma City to its first lead since the beginning of the first quarter. Dion Waiters layup gave the visitors the lead at 75-74 prior to Durants trey that made it a four-point game. Morrow nailed a 3-pointer later in the fourth to push the lead to seven, but Pierce capped a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer to help the Wizards regain the advantage at 89-87. With Washington trailing by one and under a minute to play in regulation, Pierce buried another 3 to make it a 92-90 game. Westbrook then tied the game with a driving layup coming out of a timeout. Wall chucked up an air ball on the Wizards ensuing possession, then Durant was off the mark as the buzzer sounded and the game went to overtime. Serge Ibakas jumper started the third quarter, then his 3-pointer capped a 13-4 run for the Thunder that trimmed their halftime deficit to 54-51. Westbrook converted a three-point play later in the quarter to tie the game, but Washington ultimately took a 70-66 lead after three quarters. Oklahoma City, which went over the .500 mark for the first time this season in Tuesdays win at Miami, looked to hit a wall in the second quarter as Washington claimed a comfortable lead at the half. The Wizards limited their opponent to 4-of-22 shooting (18.2 percent) in the second, but they did not shoot much better at just 29.2 percent.
